In the USA, natural gas is trapped in a geological formation called the Marcellus Shale, which runs underneath Pennsylvania and New York. Natural

Objectif

For the past five years, New York-based photojournalist Les Stone has documented  ?fracking', the controversial process of extracting natural gas from shale.  Pro-fracking campaigners argue that shale gas is a 'bridge fuel ? a greener alternative to coal and an essential next step on a road to energy independence ? an argument that is strongly denied by environmental campaigners. In this film, Les travels back to meet some of the people whose lives have been affected by the process in Pennsylvania as we try to establish the real cost of fracking.
